Peppered prairie pie

Cooking oil spray

Beef or bison, ground
1 pound
Onion, large, chopped

Salt
½ teaspoon
Pepper jack cheese,
shredded
1 cup
(4 ounces)
Bisquick®
½ cup
Milk
1 cup
Eggs

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F; spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking oil.
  2. In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook meat and onion for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until meat is browned; drain, and return to pan.
  3. Stir in salt; spoon into pie plate; sprinkle with cheese.
  4. In a small bowl, combine Bisquick, milk, and eggs, and then pour over pie.
  5. Bake about 25 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
