Water | ½ cup |
Butter | 4 tablespoons |
Sugar | 2 tablespoons |
Salt | Dash |
Flour | ½ cup |
Eggs | 2 |
Vanilla extract | 1 teaspoon |
Cooking oil | |
Powdered sugar |
- In pan over medium heat, combine water, butter, sugar, and salt. Boil and stir until butter melts.
- Add flour all at once. Cook over low heat until forms into a ball.
- Remove from heat; beat in eggs, until smooth and shiny. Add vanilla.
- Drop teaspoons of mixture into hot oil (I use a Fry Daddy Jr.—oil should be 375°F), turning to brown all sides.
- Dry on paper towels.
- Powder with sugar.
